Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Floyd Chappers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes to the cage accompanied by Knaan - Waving Flags. Danny Lynch could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Floyd Chappers's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Floyd Chappers!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch is looking to clinch.

Chappers looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Chappers seems to be working for a kimura but Lynch defends the submission attempt.

Chappers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lynch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chappers.

Lynch kicks off Chappers and gets to his feet.

Chappers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lynch as he avoids it easily.

Lynch moves in looking to clinch but Chappers pushes him off.
Chappers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lynch swivels and escapes.

Lynch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lynch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lynch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Chappers dives in and grabs Lynch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lynch pushes down on Chappers's head and hops out.

Lynch lands a nice shot to the body.

Chappers wants to pass to mount but Lynch is defending the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Lynch will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chappers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lynch.

Chappers shoots in looking for a takedown. Lynch tries to sprawl out of it but Chappers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lynch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Chappers counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lynch won't be happy with that.

Chappers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Chappers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lynch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lynch pushes Chappers away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chappers gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Floyd Chappers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Chappers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lynch wants to stand but Chappers is controlling the position.

Chappers drops back looking for a leg! Lynch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lynch manages to kick Chappers off! Chappers jumps back into Lynch's guard.

Lynch moves in looking to clinch but Chappers pushes him off.

Chappers uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lynch has time to react.

Chappers throws a right and a left that Lynch avoids nicely.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chappers.

Chappers has control of Lynch's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lynch regains control of the situation pretty easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I think Chappers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
