Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Shields will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Shields!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shields wants to clinch up but Stone keeps it at a distance.
No joy there for Stone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shields tries to close the distance and clinch but Stone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shields slips a jab and a cross from Stone.
Stone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stone jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Stone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shields.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick lands from Shields that sends Stone to the canvas. Stone tries to scramble back to his feet but Shields brings him back down into side control.
Stone is rocked!
It looks like James Stone has been cut.
Shields thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oh Stone is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stone tries to buck Shields off but Shields is having none of it.
Stone seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shields is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Stone tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Shields presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Shields prevents Stone from getting the reversal.
Stone wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Stone breaks Shields's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Stone throws a strike but Shields rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Shields stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stone is striking but Shields is not phased and passes to half guard.
Shields tries to stand and escape but Stone is controlling the position.
Stone throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Stone trying to get back to full guard but Shields takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Stone tries to reverse the position but Shields maintains control.
Stone is breathing heavily.
Shields wants to control the pace but Stone is squirming around nicely.
Shields stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Shields lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shields as he jumps to the side.
Shields misses with a head kick.
Stone misses with a wild combination.
Shields connects with a high kick.
Stone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shields looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shields on the ground.
Shields wants to control but Stone postures up.
Stone working the ground and pound from side control.
Stone lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Stone throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stone throws a strike aimed at the side of Shields's head but Shields avoids it well.
Stone working the head and body with strikes.
Shields is rocked!
It looks like Mark Shields has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stone wants to stand but Shields is controlling his arm.
Shields is still in real trouble! Can Stone finish him?
Stone trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mark Shields will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Stone misses with a series of wild punches.
Stone scores with a jab to the body.
Stone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shields.
Shields dodges the punch combination from Stone.
Shields slips a jab from Stone.
Stone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Shields seems to have recovered his senses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shields throws a leg kick which misses Stone's front leg but catches the back leg as Stone tries to avoid it.

Stone dances in with a quick combination. Shields is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Stone snaps Shields's head back. Shields stumbles backwards against the cage. Stone steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Shields's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Shields just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James Stone!
