Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Demand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black tries to clinch but Demand moves out of range.
Black shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Demand but Demand pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Demand clinches.
Demand is pressed up against the cage. Black has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Demand down to the mat. Demand avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Black tries to keep at a distance but Demand has taken the fight into the clinch.

Demand pulls guard successfully.

Demand had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Black is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Demand Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Black's back instead.
Demand lands strikes to the head.
Demand gets his hands free as Black looks to control.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Black manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Demand is now in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Demand wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Black is breathing heavily.

Demand is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Black has escaped the position, nice work there.
Demand has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Demand goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Black rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Demand's guard! Nice work there by Black!

Black wants to stand but Demand is controlling his posture from full guard.

Demand has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Black can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Demand has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Black is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Demand.

Black wants to stand up but Demand has a hold of him and won't allow it.

and Black counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Demand looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Demand regains half guard.
Demand keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are battling for position here. Demand manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Black won't allow Demand to sweep him here.

Demand is looking for a triangle but Black pushes his legs off easily.

Demand working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Black doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Demand is tightening it up a little... Black has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Black reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Black taps out! nice BJJ there by Demand!
