Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Puncher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogerio Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henrique Puncher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rogerio Carvalho! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puncher throws a right hand that Carvalho ducks under and follows up with a left that Carvalho also avoids with ease. Rogerio Carvalho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carvalho dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Puncher. That did some damage! Carvalho throws a jab when Puncher was well out of range. Carvalho gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Puncher to score an easy takedown into full guard. Puncher tries to free his leg and advance position but Carvalho is retaining full guard. Carvalho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Carvalho looking for a guillotine here but Puncher defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Puncher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carvalho has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Puncher has managed to get both his arms back between Carvalho's legs - danger averted. Carvalho has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Puncher has passed into side control.

Puncher misses with the ground and pound. The ground and pound from Puncher seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Carvalho looking for a sweep but Puncher has passed into full mount! Oh no! Puncher looking to control and managing it successfully. Carvalho really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Puncher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carvalho on the ground. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Puncher misses with a head shot. Carvalho is squirming around, avoiding Puncher's attempts to control the action. Puncher looking for a guillotine from mount but Carvalho is having none of it. Puncher looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Carvalho sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Puncher wants to take a breather but Carvalho is having none of it. Carvalho actively working from the bottom here. Puncher wants to get back to his feet.
Carvalho is staying active underneath Puncher, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carvalho is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Puncher pulls his head out easily. Puncher prevents Carvalho from improving his position. Carvalho moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carvalho is trying to keep Puncher in close.
Carvalho had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Puncher defends it easily. Puncher controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carvalho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Puncher. Puncher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carvalho but Carvalho pushes him off and we're back to square one. Carvalho throws a series of punches but Puncher avoids them all with ease. Carvalho is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carvalho throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Puncher counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Puncher tries a head kick but it misses.

and Puncher counters by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puncher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carvalho throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carvalho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Puncher, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Puncher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Puncher tries to get out of the position. Puncher avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carvalho throwing strikes but missing. Carvalho trying to control the position from guard on top but Puncher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Puncher looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Puncher looking to control.
Carvalho sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Puncher's guard. Carvalho trying to control from half guard but Puncher is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carvalho wants to work for an arm triangle but Puncher is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Puncher is trying to maintain the position but Carvalho is very close to passing his half guard. Carvalho thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Carvalho passes to side control. Carvalho is working to tighten is grip on Puncher's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Puncher has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Carvalho is really squeezing tight and eventually Puncher passes out! Carvalho breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
