PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Robertson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to State of the union by Rise Against. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson cracks the inside of Scott's front leg.

Scott takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Scott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Robertson.

Scott throws a right and a left that Robertson avoids nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Scott. Robertson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Robertson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Robertson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Scott finds it's way round the side to connect with Robertson's head.

Robertson throws a lazy right hand but Scott sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Robertson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Scott smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Robertson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Scott, as that shot connected.
Robertson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Scott thuds his right hand into Robertson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
