Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey The Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard shoots in but The Dude avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Howard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. The Dude did well to prevent Howard getting side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeffrey The Dude will probably get the nod.

Howard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The Dude shoots in for a takedown but Howard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Howard pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The Dude throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Howard on the side of the head.

The Dude shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Howard sprawls well. Howard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Dude gets slowly back to his feet.

Howard holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
