Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joseph Stalin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, beau robertson! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stalin has managed to clinch.
Stalin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stalin swats away the attempt to clinch by robertson. Stalin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and robertson counters by clinching up. Stalin connects with a knee to the head.
robertson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stalin has him pressed against the cage. Stalin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Stalin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
robertson tries to bum rush Stalin with a series of wild strikes but Stalin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. robertson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stalin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Stalin works over robertson's head and body with a nice combination. Stalin tries to clinch up and robertson counters by moving into the clinch. robertson can't find room to land a body shot as Stalin controls the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. robertson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stalin counters into the clinch. Nicely done. robertson is trying to drag Stalin to the mat but Stalin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Joseph Stalin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of beau robertson. robertson misses with a knee to the head. robertson looks gassed! robertson pulls guard. robertson tries to land a sweep but no joy. robertson looking for a guillotine here but Stalin defends easily.
robertson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stalin manages to get himself to full guard.

A frustrated look appears on robertson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Stalin is fighting off a takedown attempt but robertson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stalin to the mat. Stalin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. robertson wants to pass the guard but Stalin is keeping the position. Stalin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for robertson on the ground. robertson sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. robertson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Stalin trying to control but he's not successful this time. Stalin prevents robertson from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. robertson wants to control but Stalin is having none of it. robertson is desperately trying to improve his position but Stalin has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Stalin get's back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. robertson wants to clinch up but Stalin keeps it at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stalin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stalin wants it to stay on the feet. Stalin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Stalin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. robertson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stalin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from robertson. robertson misses with the body kick and Stalin counters with a left and a right that stings robertson. The fight stays on the outside here - Stalin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stalin gets a clinch. robertson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stalin just stands there and leans against the cage. robertson creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. robertson trying to land knees to the body.

robertson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stalin displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stalin closes the distance looking to clinch and robertson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. robertson is looking to take a break and control but Stalin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. robertson stops Stalin from getting back to his feet.
robertson looks to land a strike but Stalin avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Stalin wants to get back to his feet but robertson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stalin is working an open guard so robertson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. robertson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. robertson looking to pass the guard. robertson trying to control the position from guard on top but Stalin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. robertson's corner is telling him to maintain position. robertson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stalin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. robertson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stalin swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stalin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as robertson backs up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joseph Stalin. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stalin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
