Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marquise Mambosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mambosa's entrance music is O Fortuna. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Thomas's choice of entrance music: Judas Priest - Painkiller. Craig Thomas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marquise Mambosa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marquise Mambosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Thomas! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mambosa moves out of range as Thomas strikes. Thomas throws a lazy right hand but Mambosa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Marquise Mambosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mambosa at a distance.
Mambosa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thomas's waist but Thomas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mambosa off to one side. A punch combination from Thomas misses. Mambosa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mambosa shoots in for a takedown but Thomas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mambosa on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Thomas lands with an uppercut that bounces Mambosa off the cage and back into rage. No joy there for Thomas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mambosa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marquise Mambosa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mambosa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thomas has control of Mambosa's left arm, preventing Mambosa from doing any damage. Mambosa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mambosa trying to control but Thomas is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas looking for a sweep. Not yet Thomas, not yet. Thomas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Thomas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mambosa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Thomas with a body punch. A glancing blow. Mambosa pushes Thomas up against the cage in a clinch. A short uppercut from Mambosa. Mambosa fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A frustrated look appears on Thomas's face as he tries to break the clinch. Thomas trying to control the position but instead, Mambosa has worked for underhooks and has pushed Thomas into the cage. Thomas is pressed up against the cage. Mambosa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thomas down to the mat. Thomas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas swats away the attempt to clinch by Mambosa. Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet. Mambosa doesn't manage to clinch there - Thomas circles away.
Thomas has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mambosa finds it's way round the side to connect with Thomas's head. Mambosa takes one to the chin there. Mambosa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thomas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mambosa is breathing heavily. Mambosa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Thomas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mambosa but great work by Thomas. Mambosa is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Thomas is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Thomas tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mambosa can't escape the position.
Thomas looking to control and managing it successfully. Thomas trying to control but Mambosa is having none of it. Mambosa slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mambosa tries to get to full guard but Thomas has control of the leg. Thomas stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Thomas misses with the combination.
Thomas scores with a punch to the head. Mambosa fails with the takedown. Thomas scores with a shot to the body.
Thomas jabs Mambosa right on the nose. Mambosa blinks but takes it well. Thomas scores with a hook. Mambosa shoots in but no luck this time. Mambosa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mambosa is rocked! The fight stays on the outside here - Mambosa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mambosa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Thomas is looking for a sweep. Thomas wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Mambosa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thomas has escaped the position, nice work there. Mambosa tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Thomas is trying to control Mambosa's posture but Mambosa avoids it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mambosa is looking to take a break and control but Thomas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mambosa misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Craig Thomas dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mambosa shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomas tries to sprawl out of it but Mambosa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Thomas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mambosa. Mambosa shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marquise Mambosa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mambosa dives in and grabs Thomas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thomas pushes down on Mambosa's head and hops out. Thomas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Marquise Mambosa has been cut. Thomas drops Mambosa with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mambosa looks back up at him and smiles so Thomas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Mambosa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mambosa circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Thomas. Mambosa falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Thomas!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Craig Thomas!
