Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rocky Powers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Brown!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Powers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brown connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Rocky Powers has been cut.
Powers looks for a takedown but Brown sprawls well.
Powers takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Powers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brown's waist but Brown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Powers off to one side.
Powers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brown throws out the jab.
Brown misses with a few strikes there.
Brown just misses with a punch to the body.
Powers shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but Powers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocky Powers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Powers throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.
Brown feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Powers sprawling to the canvas! Powers rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brown finish him?!
Powers is rocked!
Brown lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Powers - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Brown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Brown!
