Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Trelos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Trelos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Drago!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drago has taken the fight to the clinch.

Drago pulls guard.
Trelos trying to control the position from guard on top but Drago is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Trelos is looking to stand up but Drago won't let him.
Trelos wants to control from the top but Drago keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Drago looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drago takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Drago looks gassed!
Trelos throws an overhand right that lands on Drago's shoulder, as Drago tries to avoid the shot.
Trelos misses the shot to the body.
Decent striking displayed by Trelos there.
Trelos scores with a hook to the body. Drago takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Drago circles away from the clinch attempt.

Trelos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Drago can't keep his opponent in guard - Trelos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Trelos moves into full mount! Drago won't be happy about that!
Trelos looking to control but Drago is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Trelos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Drago is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Trelos tries to control but Drago wriggling away.

Trelos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drago is looking to escape.

Drago is squirming around, avoiding Trelos's attempts to control the action.

Trelos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Trelos is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Trelos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drago is looking to escape.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Trelos just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Trelos lands a head kick!
Trelos looks to clinch
and Trelos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trelos shoots in looking for a takedown. Drago tries to sprawl out of it but Trelos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Drago manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Trelos fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Trelos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Trelos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Trelos has managed to clinch.
Drago gets underhooks to prevent Trelos's takedown attempt.
Trelos drops down looking for an ankle pick but Drago pulls his leg out and moves away.
Trelos has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Trelos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drago avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Drago wants to clinch up but Trelos keeps it at a distance.

and Trelos counters by moving into the clinch.

Trelos turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Trelos manages to end up in side control.
Drago struggling a bit here.
Trelos is looking to take a break and control but Drago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Trelos advances to mount.
The referee warns Drago that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Trelos looking for a guillotine from mount but Drago is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trelos trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Drago sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Drago is trying to control but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drago can do anything to dispel that myth.
Trelos is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Trelos sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Trelos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Drago for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Trelos stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Trelos misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Drago tries to clinch but Trelos moves away
and Trelos counters with a head kick.
Drago tries for a takedown but Trelos circles away easily
and Trelos counters with a flying knee. Nice.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Drago forces Trelos back against the cage and clinches.

Drago successfully pulls guard.
Drago is looking to stand up but Trelos isn't so interested in that idea.
Trelos pushes down on Drago's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Trelos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Trelos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Drago with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Trelos is keen to just control but Drago is a slippery customer.
Trelos is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Drago!

Trelos lands with some strikes.
Trelos tries to control but Drago wriggling away.
Trelos is really struggling to control Drago but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Trelos raining down shots from the mount!
Trelos is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Trelos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Trelos with the ground and pound from mount.

Trelos wants to finish this one by submission but Drago is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Trelos.
Jack Trelos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Trelos goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Drago is on top in guard.
Trelos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drago is one step ahead there.

Trelos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Drago must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Trelos wants to stand and escape but Drago is having none of it.
Drago trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Drago tries to pull guard but Trelos holds him up against the cage and eventually Drago drops back down to his feet.

Trelos breaks the clinch.
Nice shot lands for Trelos.

Trelos closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Drago did well to prevent Trelos getting side control.
Drago tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Trelos has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Trelos punching from mount but Drago doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Ivan Drago has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jack Trelos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Trelos tries to control but Drago wriggling away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trelos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
