Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neal scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Hercules Gomez has been cut.
Gomez throws a right and a left that Neal avoids nicely.
Neal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gomez.
Some wild striking there from Gomez.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gomez.
Gomez cracks Neal with an open hand slap.
Gomez moves in looking to clinch but Neal pushes him off.
Neal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Neal leaves Gomez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gomez tries for a takedown but Neal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Phil Neal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hercules Gomez.
Nice takedown defense from Neal. No joy for Gomez on that attempt.
Neal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Neal lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gomez down.

Neal is nestled in close to Gomez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Neal connects with a nice short shot to Gomez's temple.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Neal lands a nice short elbow.
Gomez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Neal scores with a couple of nice shots.

Neal throws a strike but Gomez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Neal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Neal tries to get out of the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gomez wants to control from the top but Neal keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil Neal dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hercules Gomez's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Gomez stalks Neal and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Neal's face. Neal staggers backwards, shaken.
Neal takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Neal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Neal is landing with some decent strikes but Gomez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Neal looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Gomez covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
