Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ontlogy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alberto Lin! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones scores with a takedown into Lin's guard. Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lin is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Lin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lin's guard. Lin trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Lin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jones is thwarting Lin's attempts to control the position. Jones seems to be looking for submissions.
Lin tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lin defends it well. Lin trying to control but Jones postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A nice inside leg kick there by Lin. That's going to slow Jones down. Jones is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lin throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Lin.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lin's waist but Lin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jones tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries for a takedown but Lin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Andy Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Lin is looking to score with low kicks. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones tries to clinch but Lin moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alberto Lin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action!
Lin connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Lin throws a head kick that misses. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Jones moves out of range of the leg kick from Lin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lin is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Lin circles away and we're back to standing. Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lin! Lin tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jones working for a guillotine from mount but Lin is in no mood to give up. Jones has hold of Lin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jones is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lin is surviving well by controlling Jones's body position as best he can. Jones working for a submission but Lin is keeping him at bay. Lin is working to get back to half guard.
