The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavalera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Siren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Cavalera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Cavalera scores with a hook to the body. Siren takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Cavalera's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Cavalera duly obliges.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cavalera lands a left and a right that send Siren crashing to the mat, dazed. Cavalera thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Antsa Siren has been cut.
Cavalera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Siren looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Siren is still on wobbly legs! Can Cavalera finish him?
Cavalera throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Siren stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice body punch from Cavalera.
Siren seems to have recovered his senses.
Cavalera lands a left and a right that send Siren crashing to the mat, dazed. Cavalera thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Cavalera cracks Siren with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Siren falls to his knees and Cavalera doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Axel Cavalera!
