Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Froyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bryce ahr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). bryce ahr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Froyd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bryce ahr! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! ahr throws a sloppy head kick and Froyd moves out of range easily. Froyd throws a right and a left that both miss. ahr tries to clinch but Froyd is having none of it. ahr throws out a loose jab but Froyd uses good head movement to avoid it. ahr looks to land a right hand but Froyd moved out of range. Froyd closes the distance and clinches. ahr is trying to maintain a safe position but Froyd gets an underhook and turns ahr into the cage. Froyd gets a trip takedown into half guard. Froyd is controlling the pace.
ahr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Froyd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Froyd wants to lay and pray for a moment but ahr keeps working. Froyd content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. ahr gets back to full guard.
ahr looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Froyd throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as ahr works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Froyd trying to control but ahr is working from the bottom. Froyd is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Froyd trying to control the position from guard on top but ahr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Froyd looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Froyd postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! ahr is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Froyd, into his guard. Froyd is controlling ahr's posture. Froyd trying to keep a closed guard but ahr is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. ahr showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Froyd has control of ahr's left arm, preventing ahr from doing any damage. ahr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Damien Froyd just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Froyd fails in his attempt to clinch. Froyd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Froyd wants to finish this one by submission but ahr is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Froyd. ahr has given up his back here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Froyd is looking to control ahr but ahr is wriggling around and keeping busy. What can ahr do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
ahr turns into Froyd and is now in his guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Froyd looking for a sweep. Not yet Froyd, not yet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Froyd is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien Froyd dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
ahr jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
ahr misses with a takedown attempt so Froyd counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Froyd throws a big right hand that misses. ahr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Froyd trying to control the position from guard on top but ahr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Froyd looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Froyd stands up and waves to ahr to follow him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Froyd with that takedown attempt. ahr leaves Froyd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. ahr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
ahr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Froyd darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Froyd controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. ahr is trying to control Froyd's posture. Froyd takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for ahr! Froyd is rotating here... this could be the end... ahr is out! Froyd has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
