Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvagh Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mitchell closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Reed did well to prevent Mitchell getting side control.
Reed wants to get back to full guard.
Mitchell seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Mitchell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Reed trying to control here.
Mitchell not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mitchell drops an elbow to the side of Reed's head.
Reed pushes Mitchell off looking to stand but Mitchell dives back in and keeps control.

Mitchell stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Reed to get to his feet.
Reed tries to clinch up but Mitchell circles away and keeps his distance.
Mitchell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reed throws a sloppy head kick and Mitchell moves out of range easily.
Mitchell misses with a wild combination.
Mitchell lands a lovely overhand right.

Reed gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mitchell to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Reed trying to keep a closed guard but Mitchell is proving a slippery customer.
Mitchell passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Mitchell decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Mitchell throws a series of punches but Reed moves out of range.
Reed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mitchell counters with a series of strikes. Reed will be more careful next time no doubt.
Mitchell scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mitchell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reed to the mat! Reed manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mitchell gets to his feet. Reed looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Reed shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Mitchell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Reed looks gassed!
Reed fails to pull guard.
Grant Mitchell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Calvagh Reed.

Mitchell has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Reed is trying to keep an underhook but Mitchell manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Mitchell is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mitchell wants to control but Reed is keeping him busy.

Mitchell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Reed with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
