Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Kenshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyoto Kenshin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenshin moves in looking to clinch but Jacobs pushes him off. Jacobs scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Jacobs not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kenshin moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jacobs with a nice head shot there. Jacobs must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kenshin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jacobs is in close to Kenshin's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kenshin lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Jacobs trying to control the position from guard on top but Kenshin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jacobs looking to pass the guard. Kenshin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs lands a couple of elbows. Kenshin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kenshin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jacobs. Kenshin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kenshin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jacobs defend it? Kenshin steps over the head and cranks it - Jacobs is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kenshin!
