The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steeler looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Sonnen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steeler but Steeler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sonnen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steeler's waist but Steeler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sonnen off to one side.
Sonnen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Steeler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sonnen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chael Sonnen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sonnen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Steeler napping and manages to drive through into side control!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steeler can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sonnen lands a big shot there that rocks Steeler but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Sonnen has control of Steeler's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Steeler regains control of the situation pretty easily.
