The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Russell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Meer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Russell defends it nicely.
Nice straight punches there by Russell. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Russell.

It looks like Alistair Meer has been cut.
Russell tests Meer's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Alistair Meer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Russell digs a right hand into Meer's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Meer's gas tank.
