Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artiom Nevar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Beam!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevar shoots in but Beam avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Beam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nevar swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Beam tries to clinch but Nevar moves out of range.
No luck for Nevar with that takedown attempt.
Beam fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nevar shoots for a takedown but Beam saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artiom Nevar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nevar shoots for a double leg takedown but Beam sprawls well. He's pushed Nevar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beam is working for a kimura but Nevar is defending it quite comfortably.
Nevar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nevar is refusing to be controlled, as Beam sits in half guard.

Beam tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Nevar.
Nevar misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Nevar is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Beam pulls his head out easily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Nevar keeps the fight on the outside.
Beam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nevar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nevar gets caught flat footed, as Beam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Beam is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Nevar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nevar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beam wants to get back to full guard.
Nevar winds up and cracks Beam with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nevar drops an elbow to the side of Beam's head.
Beam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nevar working the head and body with strikes.
Beam is rocked!
Beam wants to improve his position but Nevar is controlling well.
Beam is still in real trouble! Can Nevar finish him?
Nevar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Nevar slips a nice elbow through Beam's hands, connecting with Beam's forehead.
Nevar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Beam with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Beam gets back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nevar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Nevar working some strikes from top position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nevar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Beam is looking to stand back up but Nevar counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Beam.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beam takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Nevar moves into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beam is looking to improve his position but Nevar isn't that keen on the idea.
Nevar looking for a guillotine from mount but Beam is having none of it.
Nevar working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Nevar misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Beam is working to get back to half guard.
Nevar cracks Beam with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nevar unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Beam wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Nevar celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Artiom Nevar!
