Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Potempkin.
Potempkin attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Potempkin throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Potempkin throws a wild body kick that Silva sees coming a mile off.
Potempkin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
Potempkin looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Potempkin moves into full guard.
Silva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Silva throwing strikes from guard but Potempkin blocks nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A jab from Potempkin finds it's way through Silva's defenses.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Potempkin is just out of range.
Silva looks for a takedown but Potempkin sprawls well.
Potempkin throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva misses the shot to the body.
Potempkin tries to land a leg kick but Silva saw it coming and moves away.

Potempkin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

letting Potempkin counter with a right hand.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Potempkin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Silva scores with a takedown into Potempkin's guard.

Silva wants to control from the top but Potempkin keeps moving.
Silva distracts Potempkin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Potempkin is keeping the position.
Potempkin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.
Silva throws and elbow that misses. Potempkin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Silva's guard. Nice move by Potempkin!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gaycer Silva will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silva lands with a straight right. Potempkin didn't see that one coming.
Potempkin lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Potempkin misses with a body punch
and Silva counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Potempkin thinking.
Potempkin connects with a high kick.
Silva misses with a jab to the body
and Potempkin counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Potempkin to acknowledge the strikes.
Potempkin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Potempkin looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.
Potempkin cracks the inside of Silva's front leg.

Silva tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Potempkin is looking to slow Silva down with leg kicks.
Silva misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Potempkin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Potempkin throws a push kick but Silva slaps the foot to one side.
Silva misses with a leg kick
and Potempkin counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Potempkin is looking to land body kicks.

Potempkin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Potempkin looks to land a combination. Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Potempkin throws a predictable looking body shot
and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva won't allow Potempkin to sweep him here.

Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Potempkin keeps working.
Silva perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silva is trying for a kimura here. Potempkin looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Silva wins by kimura!
