The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ivanov is staying active underneath Gracie, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gracie frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Gracie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ivanov is on top in guard.

Ivanov tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ivanov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ivanov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.

Gracie has hold of Ivanov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ivanov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close round but I would say that Carlson Gracie will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ivanov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gracie wants to advance to full mount but Ivanov doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Ivanov is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
