Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Phelan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yokozuma The Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Phelan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Yokozuma The Giant!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Giant tries to close the distance and clinch up but Phelan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The Giant closes the distance and clinches up with Phelan, looking for a takedown. The Giant pushes Phelan against the cage but Phelan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Phelan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The Giant trying desperately to get to his feet.
Phelan lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The Giant tries to hold on but Phelan pushes him away.
The Giant is trying to escape the mount.
Phelan gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

and Phelan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Phelan.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Giant can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The Giant pulls Phelan in close to his closed guard and prevents Phelan from doing any damage or advancing position.
The Giant throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The Giant working for a triangle but Phelan defends it easily.
The Giant is trying to keep Phelan in close.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The Giant throws a combination that misses
and Phelan counters by moving into the clinch.
Phelan is looking to break free of the clinch but The Giant has double underhooks.
Phelan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but The Giant gets the underhooks and prevents it.
The Giant wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

The Giant is trying to trip Phelan. He has hold of a leg but Phelan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. The Giant persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Phelan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Giant swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The Giant isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Phelan stacks The Giant on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Phelan!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Phelan wants to control but The Giant is keeping him busy.
The Giant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Phelan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The Giant is looking to reverse the position.
Phelan wants to lay and pray for a moment but The Giant keeps working.
The Giant gets back to half guard.
Phelan is thwarting The Giant's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Giant is looking to improve his position.
The Giant won't allow Phelan to pass to mount.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The Giant forces Phelan back against the cage and clinches.
The Giant is looking to control Phelan's arms but Phelan gets an underhook and turns him. Now The Giant has his back to the cage.

Phelan tries to pull guard but The Giant won't allow it.

Yokozuma The Giant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Phelan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The Giant shoots for a takedown but Phelan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Horrible takedown by Phelan or perhaps it was just good defense by The Giant which made him look bad.

and Phelan counters with an inside leg kick.

Phelan stands and steps away. The Giant gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
