Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Trude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lui Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyler Trude! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Trude moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Trude swats away the attempt to clinch by Kang. Trude throws a hook but Kang blocks it. Kang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kang drives through and clinches with Trude against the cage.
Kang manages to break the clinch.
Trude avoids a punch combination nicely.
Trude misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Trude is breathing heavily. Kang tries to score with some ground and pound. Trude controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kang throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Kang lands a nice forearm strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kang in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The ground and pound from Kang seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kang tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Kang fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kang tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Kang wants to control but Trude is keeping him busy. Kang decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kang shoots for a double leg takedown but Trude sprawls well. He's pushed Kang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kang moves into the clinch. Kang breaks the clinch.
Kang moves into range and connects with a jab. Kang scoring well with a low kick there.
Kang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Trude. Kang tries to clinch up but Trude circles away and keeps his distance. Kang drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kang wants to control from the top but Trude keeps moving. Kang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trude swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kang wants to stand and escape but instead Trude has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kang is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Trude dives into side control.
Kang is looking to regain half guard here but Trude keeps moving and retains side control. You can see the frustration on Kang's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kang is trying to get back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Trude throws a combination that misses and Kang counters with a shoot takedown. Trude fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kang wants to control from the top but Trude keeps moving. Trude is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lui Kang dominated that round. That's time! Trude's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lui Kang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Trude avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kang. Kang sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Trude defending well though. Kang thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kang thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trude's head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Trude is trying is best to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kang missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Trude kicks off Kang and gets to his feet. Kang fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Trude avoids it really well and circles away. Tyler Trude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lui Kang. Trude swats away the attempt to clinch by Kang. Kang swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Trude counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Trude pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kang thows a left - swing and a miss! Kang shoots in for a double leg but Trude sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kang fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kang throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Trude moves out of range and avoids them all easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kang. Kang tries to clinch and Trude counters with a slapping leg kick. Kang fails with an attempt to clinch.
Trude moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kang tries to clinch but Trude moves away and Trude counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kang's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trude wants to pass the guard but Kang is keeping the position. Kang tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kang is looking to stand up but Trude isn't so interested in that idea. Kang trying to keep a closed guard but Trude is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are battling for position here. Kang manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Trude slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kang is trying to control the position but Trude postures up. Kang is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kang pushes Trude off and scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trude is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kang is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Trude to the mat. Trude regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Trude preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Trude wants to stand up but Kang is controlling him. Kang tries to free his leg and advance position but Trude is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kang wanted to stand there but Trude had control of the position. Kang looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kang throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kang wants to stand but Trude has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kang throws a strike but Trude rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Trude tries to stand but Kang is controlling from the bottom.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kang closes the distance and clinches up with Trude, looking for a takedown. Kang pushes Trude against the cage but Trude circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kang throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kang tries to clinch but Trude moves away and Trude counters by clinching up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Lui Kang. I think Kang has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
