Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres has chosen Eu Quero Ver o Oco as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Torres really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belfort. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Belfort is wriggling around trying to escape.
Belfort tries to lock up and control but Torres gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

You can see the frustration on Belfort's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Torres controlling the position well here. Belfort rolled but Torres kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Torres is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Torres gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Torres gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Torres apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Torres has Belfort pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Torres pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Belfort tumbling to the mat - Torres dives into Belfort's guard.

Belfort is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Belfort is looking for a triangle but Torres pushes his legs off easily.
Torres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Belfort swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Belfort is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
