Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chips Salsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Burczymucha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stefan Burczymucha told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chips Salsa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Stefan Burczymucha! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salsa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Burczymucha. Salsa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burczymucha swats him away and circles back towards the center. Salsa looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Salsa is working Burczymucha over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Burczymucha wants to stand up but Salsa is controlling him. Salsa drops back looking for a leg! Burczymucha is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burczymucha manages to kick Salsa off! Salsa jumps back into Burczymucha's guard. Salsa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burczymucha is looking to stand back up but Salsa counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Burczymucha. Burczymucha works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salsa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Burczymucha working a defensive guard but Salsa manages to pass into side control anyway.
A lull in the action here. Burczymucha is looking to get back to his feet here but Salsa is keeping cool and he's managed to take Burczymucha's back. Salsa controls the position. Burczymucha holding both Salsa 's hands and preventing any damage. Salsa keeps control of the position as Burczymucha tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Burczymucha is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Burczymucha has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Salsa is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Burczymucha has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Salsa has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Burczymucha taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Salsa doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chips Salsa!
