Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connelly closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming adams to the mat! adams manages to get full guard.
adams wants to sweep here but Connelly controlling him for the moment.
Connelly trying to control but adams is working from the bottom.
Connelly is looking to work some ground and pound but adams has wrist control.
adams keeping moving, preventing Connelly from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Connelly fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. adams sprawls well initially but Connelly persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

adams tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Connelly has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Connelly is trying to take his opponent's back.

adams defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Connelly.
Connelly is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Connelly closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Connelly throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! adams escapes and throws Connelly's legs to the side, diving into side control!
adams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Connelly is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Connelly tries to escape but adams has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Connelly manages to reverse the position and now he's in adams's guard. Nice work there by Connelly.

adams chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Connelly can pounce on him.
Connelly decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Connelly seems to be looking for submissions.
Connelly is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Connelly moves nicely into side control.
Connelly has worked his way into a potential kimura here. adams is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Connelly yanks on the arm and adams is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Connelly.
