Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marques Quartino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peters is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by elBlaze Theme!. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marques Quartino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Peters! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quartino shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peters pinned against the cage. Peters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Peters tries for a takedown but Quartino sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Peters closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Quartino to the mat! Quartino manages to get full guard. Peters must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Quartino is working an open guard so Peters takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Peters feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Peters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quartino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Peters is looking to work some ground and pound but Quartino has wrist control. Peters tries to stand but Quartino is controlling from the bottom. Peters wants to control from the top but Quartino keeps moving. Quartino is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Peters is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Quartino is keeping the position for now. Peters trying to control but Quartino is working from the bottom. Peters controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Quartino looking for a sweep. Not yet Quartino, not yet. Peters looking to sit in guard and control but Quartino gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Quartino scoring with punches to the head and body. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Peters tries to land a sweep but no joy. Quartino thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Quartino trying to control the position from guard on top but Peters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Peters wants to get back to his feet but Quartino passes into half guard.
Peters looks gassed! Quartino is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Peters doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Quartino. Peters wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Peters is looking for a sweep. Quartino is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Peters is refusing to be controlled, as Quartino sits in half guard. Quartino thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Peters trying to control but Quartino postures up.
Peters tries to roll over but Quartino keeps him under control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Quartino is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Quartino misses with a takedown and Peters holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Peters crunches a lovely knee into Quartino's ribcage. Peters has Quartino pressed against the cage.
Quartino is looking to control Peters's arms but Peters gets an underhook and turns him. Now Quartino has his back to the cage. Quartino tries to pull guard but Peters won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Peters dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Peters gets in close and instigates a clinch. Quartino tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Peters just stands there and leans against the cage. Peters manages to pull guard.
Peters is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Peters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Peters has his feet on Quartino's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Quartino looks to clinch and Peters counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Peters. Quartino gets underhooks to prevent Peters's takedown attempt.
Peters is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Quartino trying to control the position but instead, Peters has worked for underhooks and has pushed Quartino into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quartino is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Quartino is trying to maintain a safe position but Peters gets an underhook and turns Quartino into the cage. Peters can't get the takedown.
A frustrated look appears on Quartino's face as he tries to break the clinch. Peters looking to slow down the pace here. Quartino drops down looking for an ankle pick but Peters pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marques Quartino. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peters gets in close and instigates a clinch. Peters tries to pull guard but Quartino won't allow it.
Peters has Quartino pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Quartino manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Quartino drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quartino throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Peters blocks it with crossed arms. Peters has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Quartino is trying to keep an underhook but Peters manages to get the takedown into half guard. Peters is just content to waste time from the top position. Quartino takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Quartino is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Peters forces his way into half guard. Quartino is trying to maintain the position but Peters is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters is looking to take a break and control but Quartino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Quartino makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Quartino. Quartino keeping moving, preventing Peters from controlling successfully. Peters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quartino swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Quartino is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Quartino preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Peters is looking to work some ground and pound but Quartino has wrist control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Peters blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Peters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Peters moves into the clinch. Peters prevents Quartino from breaking the clinch. Quartino looking for a takedown. Quartino looking to throw knees to the head but Peters is blocking nicely.

Quartino tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Peters smiles and moves away.
Peters closes the distance and pushes Quartino back into the cage. Quartino can't get the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round. Quartino is looking for a sweep. Peters is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Peters frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Peters content just to control the position here. Quartino tries to control the position but Peters now has his back.
Peters is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Quartino has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Quartino defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quartino slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Quartino postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Peters is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Quartino tries to stand but Peters is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Peters has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quartino can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Peters is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peters looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Marques Quartino has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Daniel Peters is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peters throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Peters comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Peters has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
