Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raul Cervantes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikael Sadman! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cervantes looks to throw the jab but Sadman is out of range. Sadman slips under a jab from Cervantes. Cervantes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Cervantes advances to full mount. Sadman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Cervantes trying to control but Sadman is having none of it. Sadman is trying to escape the mount.
Sadman tries to hold on but Cervantes pushes him away. Cervantes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sadman prevents any damage by holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cervantes controlling the pace for now. Cervantes trying to control but Sadman is having none of it. Sadman defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cervantes. Sadman is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cervantes lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sadman looks gassed! Cervantes looking to ground and pound but Sadman is blocking nicely. Sadman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Sadman won't allow Cervantes to get back to his feet. Cervantes will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

It looks like Mikael Sadman has been cut. Cervantes dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Cervantes shoots in and drives through. Sadman sprawls well. Cervantes with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sadman shoots for a takedown but Cervantes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sadman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. This has been an exciting period of action! Sadman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sadman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cervantes scores with a nice strike. Cervantes throws a series of strikes that have Sadman backpedaling.
Cervantes cracks Sadman with a right hand to the side of the head. Cervantes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sadman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cervantes connects with a right hand. Sadman shakes it off. Sadman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cervantes getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sadman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Sadman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cervantes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cervantes is trying to get back to his feet. Cervantes sneaks back into half guard. Sadman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cervantes is refusing to be controlled, as Sadman sits in half guard. Sadman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cervantes is staying active underneath Sadman, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are battling for position here. Cervantes manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Sadman won't allow Cervantes to sweep him here. Cervantes trying to control the position.

Cervantes punishes Sadman's body with a nice straight punch. Sadman walks into a jab. Cervantes with a lazy takedown attempt and Sadman counters with a single leg into guard. Cervantes didn't expect that. Cervantes trying to keep a closed guard but Sadman is proving a slippery customer.
Sadman drops back looking for a leg! Cervantes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cervantes manages to kick Sadman off! Sadman jumps back into Cervantes's guard. Cervantes throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Cervantes seems keen to control Sadman's posture. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cervantes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cervantes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sadman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cervantes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sadman! Sadman tries to lock up and control but Cervantes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Cervantes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sadman is looking to escape. Mikael Sadman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Sadman reaches up and holds on to Cervantes to control the position. Cervantes controlling the position easily from mount. Cervantes avoids the attempt from Sadman to control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Mikael Sadman. I think Cervantes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
