The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wasserman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Franklin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wasserman wants to pass the guard but Franklin is keeping the position.
Wasserman won't allow Franklin to get back to his feet.

Wasserman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Franklin for as long as he can get away with.

Wasserman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Franklin could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Wasserman has cracked it and Franklin is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Wasserman!
