McGuinness comes into the arena with Pearl Jam - Even Flow blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from McGuinness lands but McFisticus takes it in his stride.
McGuinness misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McFisticus throws a chopping leg kick but McGuinness manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
McGuinness closes the distance and clinches.

McGuinness gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Shamus McFisticus has been cut.
McFisticus with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

McGuinness tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McFisticus avoids it.
McGuinness is trying to break free.
McGuinness dodges an elbow strike from McFisticus.

McGuinness is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

McFisticus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McGuinness is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGuinness working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McFisticus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McFisticus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McGuinness not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McFisticus sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. McGuinness doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! McFisticus paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from McGuinness - great work!
