Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Quinton King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and adam adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). adam adams struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from King both land. Nice combination.
King has taken the fight to the clinch.
adams drags the fight down to the ground.

King has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
King has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but adams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
adams sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed King's guard.

adams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. adams eventually gives up the hold.

adams lands with a kick to the temple. King shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

King scores with a one two! adams had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
King lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by King.
King moves into range and connects with a jab.
King throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent adams stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
