The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nog fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Silva wants to sweep here but Nog controlling him for the moment.
Nog wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

Nog drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Nog is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nog takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Silva controls the position.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nog keeps working.
Silva stands up.
And that's the end of the fight!

Well Silva has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
