The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supermies has a takedown stuffed.
Shakur tries to land a leg kick but Supermies saw it coming and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Supermies is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Shakur's half guard.

Shakur wants to get back to his feet.

Supermies is looking for a kimura but Shakur is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Supermies to get the leverage.

Supermies stops Shakur from getting back to his feet.
Shakur really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Supermies. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Supermies thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shakur's head.
Shakur pushes Supermies off looking to stand but Supermies dives back in and keeps control.

Supermies takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
