Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Atomic Chechek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music. Quinton Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Atomic Chechek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Chechek which made him look bad. Chechek blocks a head kick by Jackson.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Chechek sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Chechek closes the distance and clinches. Jackson wants to break free but Chechek has control.
Jackson is trying to force a seperation but Chechek has the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chechek is working for takedown but Jackson is calmly controlling the position for now. Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chechek walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Atomic Chechek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinton Jackson. Jackson tries to clinch up and Chechek counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chechek seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Chechek tries to pass to full mount but Jackson defends it. Chechek is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jackson reverses the position - he's now on top in Chechek's guard. Jackson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Chechek working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jackson has passed into half guard!
Chechek might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Chechek looking for submissions off his back. Still in half guard, Jackson seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Chechek is looking to improve his position.
Jackson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Chechek tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Chechek is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Chechek looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Chechek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jackson tries for a takedown but Chechek circles away easily and Chechek counters by clinching up. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jackson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson fails to pull guard.
Chechek gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chechek tries to stand but his arm is trapped. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chechek knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground. Chechek is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chechek wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Jackson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jackson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Chechek has his hands clasped together but Jackson extends an breaks Chechek's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jackson.
