Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Ecko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Seek and Destroy. Steve Ecko has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ecko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tyler misses the shot to the body.
Tyler shoots in but Ecko avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Tyler clinches up with Ecko and pushes him back against the cage.
Ecko tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tyler just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ecko jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tyler walks away with a smile on his face. Ecko gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Tyler will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Ecko looks to land a strike but Tyler avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Ecko throws a strike but Tyler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tyler wants to pass the guard but Ecko is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tyler throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tyler instigates a clinch.

Tyler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ecko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tyler has managed to clinch.

Tyler turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Tyler lands a decent elbow from side control.
Tyler has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Ecko!

Tyler stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Tyler doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ecko counters with a series of strikes. Tyler will be more careful next time no doubt.
Steve Ecko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Tyler.
Tyler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ecko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyler shoots in looking for a takedown. Ecko tries to sprawl out of it but Tyler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ecko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tyler throws a series of punches but Ecko avoids them all with ease.
Tyler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ecko as he jumps to the side.
Ecko uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Tyler moves into range and clinches up with Ecko.
Ecko tries to score a body lock takedown but Tyler shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tyler goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ecko prevents it.

Ecko manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ecko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Tyler wants to control from the top but Ecko keeps moving.

Tyler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ecko is just riding it out for now. Tyler eventually gives up the hold.

Tyler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ecko can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Ecko is desperately trying to improve his position but Tyler has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
