Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cory Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kilika Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cory Scott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kilika Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins thows a body shot but no joy. Jenkins tries to land a front kick but Scott steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jenkins fails to land with a series of punches.
Jenkins shoots in but Scott avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jenkins shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jenkins has Scott up against the cage in a clinch.
Jenkins breaks from the clinch.
Scott throws a hook but Jenkins blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scott's waist but Jenkins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jenkins off to one side. Cory Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kilika Jenkins. Scott tries to keep at a distance but Jenkins has taken the fight into the clinch. Jenkins taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scott content to stall in guard here. Jenkins looking to control.
Jenkins looks gassed! Scott stays in close to Jenkins's body and controls the position. Scott trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Scott is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Scott seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jenkins for as long as he can get away with. Jenkins working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Scott has passed into half guard!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins tries to roll over but Scott keeps him under control. Scott takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Scott is looking to advance position but Jenkins won't allow it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cory Scott dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jenkins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Cory Scott just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Nice defenses there by Jenkins. Kilika Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jenkins misses with a low kick. Some wild striking there from Jenkins.
Jenkins misses with a leg kick. Scott swats away the attempt to clinch by Jenkins. Jenkins is breathing heavily. Scott fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins swings for the body but Scott moves out of range.
Scott misses with a looping right. The fight stays on the outside here - Jenkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jenkins is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jenkins. Scott pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jenkins tries to clinch but Scott moves out of range. Scott moves out of range as Jenkins throws a body kick.
Scott misses with an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Scott scores a takedown into full mount! Scott sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Jenkins tries to hold on but Scott postures up. Scott takes Jenkins's back. Scott has good solid back control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Scott controlling his opponent. Jenkins is working to get back to half guard.
Jenkins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Scott looking to control and managing it successfully. Jenkins tries to reverse the position but Scott maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cory Scott dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Jenkins fails in his attempt to clinch. Jenkins shoots and misses and Scott counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jenkins won't be happy with that. Scott decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jenkins to his feet. Scott is looking to clinch but Jenkins is avoiding it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scott taking a breather here. Jenkins tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Scott presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Jenkins trying to control the action but Scott just sinks the hooks in. Scott has the hooks in. Jenkins is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Jenkins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Scott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Scott is not going to allow Jenkins to sit and survive in this position. Scott controlling from the back. Kilika Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

"I don't think so" says Jenkins as he avoids it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Cory Scott showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scott, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
