The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulman is looking to clinch.
Paulman tries to clinch but Fortson is having none of it.

Paulman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fortson's waist but Fortson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paulman off to one side.

Paulman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fortson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Paulman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
