Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Stacey with that takedown attempt.
Cognito throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stacey was covering up waiting for the punch and Cognito finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Stacey looking for a sweep. Not yet Stacey, not yet.
Stacey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cognito is trying to reverse the position but instead Stacey has taken his back - oops!
Stacey controlling well, preventing Cognito from escaping the position.
Stacey is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Cognito. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Cognito really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stacey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stacey controlling the position well here. Cognito rolled but Stacey kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

and Cognito counters with a single leg into guard. Stacey didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cognito keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stacey's head.
Cognito stops Stacey from standing up.
Stacey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cognito's guard.
Cognito doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Cognito throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Stacey works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Stacey drops an elbow to the side of Cognito's head.
Stacey trying to control the action but Cognito is working from the bottom.
Cognito throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stacey moves into range and clinches up with Cognito.
Cognito prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Stacey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stacey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cognito walks away with a smile on his face. Stacey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Stacey counters with a shoot takedown. Cognito fights it but they end up in guard.
Stacey wants to control from the top but Cognito keeps moving.

Cognito can't keep his opponent in guard - Stacey advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Cognito throws some strikes from the bottom but Stacey isn't bothered - he's working on a kimura... it looks tight... it is! Cognito is tapping and screaming like a little girl! Ouch, that looks painful! Good win for Stacey!
