Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markus III fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gustafsson avoids it really well and circles away.

Markus III closes the distance and clinches up with Gustafsson, looking for a takedown. Markus III pushes Gustafsson against the cage but Gustafsson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gustafsson scores with a sloppy right hand. Markus III should have avoided that one.
Gustafsson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Markus III.

Gustafsson drops Markus III with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Markus III looks back up at him and smiles so Gustafsson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Markus III is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Gustafsson engages and cracks Markus III with a massive lead left hook - Markus III tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Gustafsson is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gustav Gustafsson!
