Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Persson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jah Herbs! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Herbs looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Persson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Persson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Good leg kick by Persson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Persson dodges the punch combination from Herbs.
Persson fails to land the takedown. Herbs tries a head kick but it misses.

Herbs throws a nice looking combination but Persson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Persson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Herbs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Herbs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Herbs is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Persson tries to advance to mount but Herbs denies him. Persson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Herbs, who protects the arm well. Persson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Herbs counters with a good, hard body kick but Persson shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Persson checks a leg kick. Herbs scores with a jab to the head.
Persson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Herbs looks to land a combination but Persson avoids it well. Herbs lands a jab-cross combination.
Persson is rocked! Persson is breathing heavily. Persson misses with a takedown attempt - Herbs sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Oh Persson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Persson tries to clinch but Herbs moves out of range. Jah Herbs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Herbs lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Persson falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
