The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Santana.
It looks like Ajax van Frankrijk has been cut.
Santana scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
van Frankrijk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
van Frankrijk tries for a kimura but Santana is defending well.
van Frankrijk misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
van Frankrijk goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Santana rolls with the submission and now he's on top in van Frankrijk's guard! Nice work there by Santana!
van Frankrijk is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Santana is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
van Frankrijk looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Santana passes into half guard.
van Frankrijk is trying to maintain the position but Santana is very close to passing his half guard.

van Frankrijk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Santana pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santana escapes and gets back to his feet.
Santana lands with a shot to the body.
Santana lands a right hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BOOM! Santana lands a beautiful left hook that drops van Frankrijk. van Frankrijk tries to recover but Santana is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and van Frankrijk lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
