Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Ono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LeBron James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gucci - 911 Emergency kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! LeBron James is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, LeBron James! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ono moves away. A punch combination from James misses. No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

James avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ono misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from James.
A shot to the body from James misses and Ono counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ono throws a lazy right hand but James sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. James staying out of range there. James swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ono makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ono avoids the body shot from James.

and Ono counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ono won't allow James to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. James throws a right and a left that both miss. James swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ono jabbing away but nothing is landing. James throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ono. James fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Well, if James is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Nice work. Ono is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but James still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, James has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ono being controlled for a moment. Ono manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ono makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ono. James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ono has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Ono's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. James is working Ono over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Ono is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ono had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. James defends it easily. Ono is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and James defends well. Ono avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kenji Ono overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ono comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. James dips to his left and cracks Ono with an uppercut! LeBron James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice defenses there by James. Good shot there by Ono. James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ono.
Ono fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ono ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. LeBron James seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ono throws out a powerful jab. A swing and a miss from James. James is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ono.

James throws a combination that misses and Ono counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ono. James wants to stand and escape but Ono is having none of it. Ono trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ono drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ono jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. James has Ono pulled in close to control his posture. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! And that's the end of the fight! Kenji Ono showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ono, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
