Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Heck Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesnar has chosen The Slam as his entrance music. Heck Tate has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Heck Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lesnar momentarily.
Tate misses with a head kick.
Lesnar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tate just misses with a punch to the body.
Lesnar fails with a takedown attempt.
Lesnar slips a straight right by Tate.
Tate lands with an uppercut that bounces Lesnar off the cage and back into rage.
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tate as he avoids it easily.
Heck Tate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Lesnar.
Tate lands a jab-cross combination.

Lesnar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tate has a closed guard, preventing Lesnar from standing up.
Lesnar won't allow Tate to get back to his feet.

Lesnar throws and elbow that misses. Tate uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lesnar's guard. Nice move by Tate!
Tate wants to get up but he can't break Lesnar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tate throws a hook to the side of Lesnar's head but Lesnar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lesnar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lesnar showed some decent athleticism there.

Lesnar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tate defends it well.
Lesnar looks gassed!

Tate tries to kick Lesnar off but Lesnar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Lesnar stops Tate from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lesnar scores with a hook to the body. Tate takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Tate connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

and Tate counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lesnar is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Tate misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lesnar is defended easily by Tate.

Lesnar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tate pinned against the cage. Tate gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tate is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Tate misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lesnar takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tate scores with a one two! Lesnar had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Tate lands a slapping body shot.
Tate throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lesnar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tate throws a quick inside leg kick.
Tate is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Lesnar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tate.
Tate looks to land a combination but Lesnar avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heck Tate dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Lesnar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tate avoids it really well and circles away.
Lesnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Tate counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Tate lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Lesnar avoids the head kick by Tate.
Lesnar takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


Lesnar is rocked!
Tate lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Tate is looking to slow Lesnar down with leg kicks.
Tate throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lesnar.
Tate throws a good cross that connects.
Lesnar moves in looking to clinch but Tate pushes him off.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tate, as that shot connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tate lands a head kick. Lesnar smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lesnar is still on wobbly legs! Can Tate finish him?
Lesnar tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lesnar seems to have recovered his senses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tate ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Heck Tate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lesnar misses with a takedown
and Tate counters with a straight right hand.
Heck Tate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Lesnar.
Tate feints and then cracks Lesnar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lesnar down.
Tate wants to land a leg kick but Lesnar is out of range.
Lesnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tate circles away.

Tate circles away from the clinch attempt
and Tate counters with a big head kick but Lesnar shrugs it off.
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tate sprawls well. Tate wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet.
Tate lands a head kick. Lesnar smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Tate gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lesnar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Lesnar prevents Tate from getting back to his feet.
Lesnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lesnar is pushing down on Tate's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tate is fighting to maintain full guard but Lesnar has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lesnar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tate does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tate is trying to stand.
Lesnar is trying to control. Tate wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lesnar stops Tate from getting back to his feet.
Lesnar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tate with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lesnar trying to advance position but Tate counters by regaining guard.
Tate wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lesnar manages to pass to side control.

Lesnar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tate sees it coming and defends easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tate is refusing to be controlled, as Lesnar sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heck Tate dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Lesnar drops his hands momentarily and Tate takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Lesnar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tate did well to prevent Lesnar getting side control.
Lesnar stops Tate from getting back to his feet.
Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Tate is defending well.
Lesnar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Lesnar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tate is trying to stand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tate makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Good leg kick by Tate there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tate works over Lesnar's head and body with a nice combination.
Lesnar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tate throws a leg kick which misses Lesnar's front leg but catches the back leg as Lesnar tries to avoid it.
Tate lands with a kick to the temple. Lesnar shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Tate pushes Lesnar off and gets back to his feet.
Tate cracks a nice hook into Lesnar's ribs.

Lesnar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tate's waist but Tate gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lesnar off to one side.
Lesnar slips a jab and a cross from Tate.
Tate scores with a jab to the head.
A low kick from Tate is predictable there

and Lesnar counters by moving into the clinch.
Lesnar lands with a light punch inside.
Tate on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Tate lands a body punch.

Tate manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lesnar trying to control but Tate is working from the bottom.
Tate wants to get back to his feet but Lesnar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lesnar thows a big elbow that misses.
Lesnar stops Tate from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Tate wants to get back to his feet.

Lesnar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tate wants to get back to his feet.
Shane Lesnar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Heck Tate is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lesnar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Tate pushes Lesnar off looking to stand but Lesnar dives back in and keeps control.
Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Tate is defending well.
Lesnar missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Shane Lesnar.
I think Tate has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
