Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between CJ Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CJ Duffy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Jackson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson closes the distance and clinches. Duffy manages to break the clinch.
Jackson clinches. Duffy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Duffy to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jackson looking to control.
Duffy trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson has Duffy pulled in close to control his posture. Duffy trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson pulls Duffy in close to his closed guard and prevents Duffy from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duffy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Duffy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Duffy from controlling successfully. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Duffy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get! Duffy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson. Duffy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Duffy throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duffy closes the distance and clinches. Duffy jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Duffy around his waist. Duffy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. A short uppercut from Duffy. Jackson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jackson trying to stall but Duffy improves his position.
Duffy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duffy's waist but Duffy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side. CJ Duffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jackson. Jackson looks gassed! Duffy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Duffy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duffy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Duffy thows a huge punch but Jackson dodges it nicely.
Jackson is trying to stand up here but Duffy is controlling him well. Jackson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Duffy. Jackson is staying active underneath Duffy, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Duffy wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Duffy dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Duffy has managed to clinch.
Jackson jumps guard but Duffy stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Duffy throws an elbow but it misses.

Duffy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Duffy circles away from the clinch attempt and Duffy moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duffy gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Duffy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Duffy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Duffy tries to get out of the position. Duffy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily. Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Duffy, up you get! CJ Duffy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson fails with the takedown. Jackson is looking to clinch. Jackson is breathing heavily. Duffy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Duffy gets slowly back to his feet. Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jackson tries to clinch but Duffy moves out of range. Duffy moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Duffy works on Jackson's body with a couple of short punches. Jackson prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CJ Duffy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duffy misses with a knee to the head. Duffy breaks the clinch.
Duffy gets the takedown into side control. Duffy tries to advance to mount but Jackson denies him. Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duffy wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson sneaks back into half guard. Jackson tries to roll over but Duffy keeps him under control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Duffy in particular looking to stall. Jackson won't allow Duffy to pass to mount. Duffy decides to stand up. A punch lands to the side of Duffy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duffy has Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Duffy decides to pull guard. Duffy looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Duffy looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Duffy dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Duffy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Duffy is trying to drag Jackson to the mat but Jackson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jackson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Duffy pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jackson is working for takedown but Duffy is calmly controlling the position for now. Duffy slowing the pace effectively. Jackson trying to control the position but instead, Duffy has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jackson into the cage. Duffy has Jackson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jackson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Duffy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Duffy manages to end up in side control. Duffy decides to stand back up. Duffy steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet. Jackson misses with a takedown attempt and Duffy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard. CJ Duffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jackson. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Duffy trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson is looking for a triangle here but Duffy uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson stops Duffy from passing to mount. CJ Duffy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Duffy staying calm. Duffy is chipping away with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Duffy taking a breather here. Duffy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working. Duffy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well. Jackson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duffy stands up and beckons Jackson to his feet. Duffy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duffy clinches. Duffy stalling in the clinch.
Duffy works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Duffy throwing strikes from guard but Jackson blocks nicely. Jackson is controlling Duffy's posture. Duffy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Duffy from controlling successfully. James Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jackson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Duffy's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Duffy wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Duffy lands a nice hook to Jackson's body. Jackson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! CJ Duffy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Duffy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
