Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pavlos Stathis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maynard lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Pavlos Stathis has been cut.
Stathis looks to land a combination but Maynard avoids it well.
Stathis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stathis misses with a double jab
and Maynard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stathis defending well as Maynard loads up on a big left hand.
Maynard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maynard fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stathis on the side of the head.

and Stathis counters with a crisp one two that drops Maynard! Stathis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Maynard to his feet! Maynard is in big trouble!

Stathis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maynard.

Stathis drops his hands momentarily and Maynard takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Maynard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Maynard dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Maynard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Maynard thuds his right hand into Stathis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Maynard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stathis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
