The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalou moves out of range as Lambert strikes.
Horrible takedown by Kalou or perhaps it was just good defense by Lambert which made him look bad.
Kalou slips a jab and a cross from Lambert.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lambert. Kalou does a little dance to reset his feet.
Andrew Lambert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kalou keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lambert lands with a nice combination. Kalou backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Leopold Kalou has been cut.
Lambert throws a hook but Kalou avoids it easily.

Lambert jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lambert is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kalou rather than just go for the knockout.
Lambert tests Kalou's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lambert throws a hook but Kalou blocks it.
Lambert paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lambert throws a left that rocks Kalou and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Lambert dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Kalou regain composure!


Leopold Kalou's cut is getting worse.
Kalou is breathing heavily.
Lambert trying to control the action but Kalou is working from the bottom.

Lambert decides to stand back up. Lambert steps back and let's Kalou get back to his feet.
Lambert lands a nice shot that snaps Kalou's head back.


Leopold Kalou's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Kalou takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lambert lands an overhand right.

Lambert lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Jeez, Leopold Kalou's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Lambert bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kalou's head.
Lambert lands with an overhand left.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Leopold Kalou's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
