Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson McMillan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hutch Gibson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McMillan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McMillan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! McMillan jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gibson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gibson and McMillan has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
McMillan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gibson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McMillan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Gibson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McMillan's guard! Nice work there by Gibson! McMillan keeping moving, preventing Gibson from controlling successfully. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. McMillan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Gibson's thigh. McMillan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gibson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McMillan has Gibson in his guard. McMillan has his hands on Gibson's head, controlling the position. McMillan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gibson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gibson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gibson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gibson throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gibson trying to control but McMillan is working from the bottom. Gibson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. McMillan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McMillan misses with a series of wild punches.
McMillan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gibson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McMillan is out of range. Gibson has closed the distance and engaged McMillan in a clinch.
Gibson has McMillan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gibson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending McMillan tumbling to the mat - Gibson dives into McMillan's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McMillan gets the takedown into side control. McMillan swings around for an armbar but Gibson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into McMillan's guard. Gibson looking to pass the guard. McMillan can't keep his opponent in guard - Gibson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gibson is nestled in close to McMillan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gibson throwing shots but McMillan is blocking nicely. Gibson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gibson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McMillan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Gibson wants to take a breather but McMillan is having none of it. McMillan wants to get back to full guard.

Gibson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. McMillan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. That was a close second round but I would say that Jackson McMillan will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That looked like it hurt. Gibson doesn't manage to clinch there - McMillan circles away.

Gibson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McMillan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McMillan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
