Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Orcutt!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orcutt looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Orcutt feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Orcutt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson is pulling down on Orcutt's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orcutt trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Orcutt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Orcutt passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Orcutt trying to mount his opponent but Jackson defends it.
Jackson is holding on to half guard well.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Orcutt is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Orcutt tries to stand and escape but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.
Jackson tries to kick Orcutt off but Orcutt keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jackson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Orcutt looks gassed!
Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Orcutt is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Orcutt swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.

Orcutt gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Orcutt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Orcutt wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him.
Jackson is looking to advance position but Orcutt has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Jackson is trying desperately to improve position.
Orcutt throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Jackson can't escape the position.
Orcutt trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jackson tries to lock up and control but Orcutt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Jackson tries to reverse the position but Orcutt maintains control.
Jackson wants to control but Orcutt is having none of it.
Orcutt is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.

Orcutt looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
BOOM! Orcutt connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jackson is working to get back to half guard.
Jackson wants to hold on but Orcutt pushes him away.

Orcutt wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.
Orcutt tries to push Jackson's head away but Jackson is holding on tight.
Jackson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Orcutt trying to control but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson wants to control but Orcutt is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Orcutt dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.
Jackson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Orcutt.

Orcutt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.
Jackson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Orcutt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Orcutt is trying to stand up here but Jackson is controlling him well.
Jackson wants to stand but Orcutt has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Orcutt on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Orcutt is trying to escape back to his feet but Jackson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Orcutt is breathing heavily.
Jackson wants to stand but Orcutt has his arm trapped.
Orcutt can't do much from the bottom here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jackson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jackson lands with a light punch inside.
Jackson tries to score a body lock takedown but Orcutt shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Orcutt manages to break the clinch.

and Orcutt counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Orcutt works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jackson tries to roll over but Orcutt keeps him under control.

Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Orcutt is very close to passing his half guard.
Jackson controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Jackson landing rabbit punches to the side of Orcutt's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jackson tries to roll over but Orcutt keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Orcutt avoids it well.
Orcutt misses with a body shot.
Jackson fails with the takedown

and Orcutt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Orcutt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Orcutt tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Orcutt has him pressed against the cage.
Jackson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Orcutt up against the cage.

Jackson jumps into guard, dragging Orcutt to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Keith Orcutt will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Orcutt lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Orcutt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Orcutt gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting.
Orcutt lands a jab-cross combination.

and Orcutt counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Orcutt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jackson tries to roll over but Orcutt keeps him under control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Orcutt is working away from the top position though.
Orcutt is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Orcutt has a good base and remains in mount.

Orcutt is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jackson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Orcutt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.

Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Orcutt's attempts to control the action.
Jackson regains half guard.

Jackson kicks Orcutt off and gets back to his feet.
Orcutt lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jackson at a distance.

Jackson gets a clinch.
Jackson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Jackson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Orcutt fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Orcutt controls Jackson momentarily but Jackson frees himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Orcutt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Keith Orcutt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
