Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marek Lewadowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heath Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath Palmer struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewadowski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Palmer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Lewadowski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Palmer sprawls well initially but Lewadowski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Palmer pushes Lewadowski off looking to stand but Lewadowski dives back in and keeps control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Marek Lewadowski just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Palmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lewadowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Palmer is trying to escape the mount but Lewadowski keeps good control and instead manages to take Palmer's back.
Palmer is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Lewadowski.
Palmer is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lewadowski has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Palmer's body.

Lewadowski is cranking Palmer's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Palmer! He's tightened the choke and Palmer is tapping out!
