Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mondo Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zap Branagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davidson comes to the cage accompanied by The Sounds-Beat Box. Zap Branagan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mondo Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zap Branagan! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Branagan checks a leg kick. Branagan moves in looking to clinch but Davidson pushes him off. Branagan fails in his attempt to clinch. Branagan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick misses from Davidson. Branagan tries to clinch there but Davidson circles away.
Davidson rushes Branagan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Davidson blocks an elbow strike from Branagan.
Davidson pulls Branagan into guard.
Davidson pulls Branagan in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Branagan wanted to stand there but Davidson had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davidson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Branagan clinches but Davidson breaks the clinch and Davidson counters by moving into the clinch. Davidson lands a takedown into guard.

Davidson distracts Branagan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Davidson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Branagan wants to get back to his feet but Davidson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Davidson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Branagan tries to clinch but fails miserably and Davidson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Branagan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davidson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Branagan pushes Davidson off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Branagan wants to get back to his feet. Davidson trying to control the pace. Davidson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Branagan wants to get back to his feet.
Davidson has hold of Branagan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Branagan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Davidson is breathing heavily. Branagan is trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson unloads with some shots from mount but Branagan bucks and avoids them well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Branagan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Davidson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Davidson controlling from the full mount. Davidson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Davidson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Branagan looks a forlorn figure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Branagan wants to try and get back to his feet. Branagan in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Davidson working away from the top, dropping strikes. You get the feeling that Branagan really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Davidson controlling from the full mount. Branagan is trying to get back to his feet but can't. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Davidson looking to finish Branagan with some ground and pound. This is bad for Branagan! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davidson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Branagan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Branagan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Davidson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Branagan is one step ahead there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Davidson working a defensive guard but Branagan manages to pass into side control anyway.

Branagan didn't expect that. Branagan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Davidson is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Branagan uses the cage to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Branagan wants to get up but he can't break Davidson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Davidson is pulling down on Branagan's head to control his posture. Davidson is trying to control the position but Branagan postures up. Davidson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Branagan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Branagan wants to stand and escape but instead Davidson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davidson decides to pull guard. Davidson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Branagan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Davidson working for a triangle but Branagan defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Branagan wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Davidson's closed guard. He's half up but Davidson has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Davidson pivots and extends the arm, Branagan falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Davidson! Well done that man!
